Environmentally Responsible Shred-It Program

ELOS - Going Green More than a decade ago, we started our environmentally responsible Shred-it program to help keep our members' information safe. This means documents are shredded on site and then the shredded paper is recycled by the Shred-it Company. This is part of our effort to be more environmentally friendly.

Annually, we achieve these environmental savings:

  • Saved 80.8 new trees from being harvested for pulp and paper production
  • Saved up to 19,000 kilowatts of energy
  • Saved 33,250 gallons of water
  • Reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 4.75 metric tons of carbon equivalent
