Interac e-Transfer Best Practices for Organizations


We recognize that it's important to protect your organization's account and the hard work and integrity of those who manage the funds. To that end, we recommend that you follow these Best Practices when using Interac e-Transfers®.




BEST PRACTICES

  • Create a separate email for your organization specifically for Interac e-Transfers®. Ensure that all signatories have access to the email account.
  • Track all Interac e-Transfers® that are sent or received by your organization
  • Make use of the Alerts service provided in Internet Banking
    • Ensure that all signatories are set up to receive Alerts on the account
    • Set up the Alerts that will notify all signatories of Interac e-Transfer® activity (e.g. Interac e-Transfer® Recipient added, Withdrawal, Deposit)



Encompass Credit Union cannot be held responsible for the account activity. This is solely the responsibility of the organization. Interac e-Transfers® are guaranteed funds and can be accepted in a similar fashion to cash. What a convenient way to collect dues and payments!
